The British Civil War Consequences: Some of the consequences from the british civil war were: 1. Execution of Charles I. Charles I was executed during the war because he was charged with high treason in January 1649. He was accused of this because Charles offended his protestant subjects by marrying Henrietta Maria who was a Catholic French princess. After Charles execution and that parliament, Oliver Cormwell formed a new government.
2. In the end of the war, many homes, people, and properties were destroyed.
3.The army had become very important to Oliver Cromwell- Oliver Cromwell was a English military and political leader.
4. After Charles's execution, England became a republic called commonwealth which was the main political effect.
